Custodial Maintenance Skills Certificate

1. Course Objectives
The Custodial Maintenance Skills Certificate is an intermediate pathway to the full Built Environment Custodian Skills Certificate. It imparts value-add multi-tasking hard skills to undertake built environment custodial maintenance work efficiently and effectively.

  • Safe Work Practices (WAH below 2.3m)

4. Basic Soft FM Custodial Maintenance Work

  • Environmental Cleaning & Upkeep
  • Upkeep of Plants & Vegetation
  • Pest & Vector Sighting

5. Basic Hard FM Custodial Maintenance Work

  • Replacing & Cleaning Lights
  • Clearing Sink & Gully Chokes
  • Cleaning & Touching Up Wall Paint
  • Grouting & Renewal of Joints
  • Repair of Cracks in Screeds & Concrete

3. Entry Requirements
The entry requirements are:

  • Physically fit and not colour blind
  • Able to lift objects weighing a minimum of 15kg
  • Able to work independently and exercise self-checks of completed tasks.

4. Progression to Built Environment Custodian and Beyond
Progression and skills upgrading to a Buillt Environment Custodian and beyond is available via the SRP-REMMI Lifelong Learning Roadmap.

32 hours

7. Course Fees & Funding Support

$1,280 nett/trainee (excludes $100 registration fee). SSG course fee funding of up to 70% (for SMEs and/or Singapore citizens above 40 years old) is available; sponsoring companies may also claim absentee payroll of $4.50/training hour.
